Norm Asbjornson Hall expands Montana State University’s College of Engineering with a state-of-the-art academic facility designed to support innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Combining advanced instructional spaces with industry-leading sustainable design, the building prepares future engineers in an environment built for discovery.
Project Scope
Project Overview
Constructed on Montana State University’s active campus, Norm Asbjornson Hall required precise coordination to deliver a highly technical educational facility while minimizing disruption to surrounding operations. The 115,000-square-foot building features classrooms, specialized laboratories, machine shops, presentation spaces, and collaborative study areas designed to foster interdisciplinary learning. LEED Platinum certification reflects the integration of sustainable building systems, including geothermal heating and cooling, solar technologies, stormwater management, energy-efficient lighting, and recycled building materials. From complex structural systems to sophisticated mechanical infrastructure, every phase was executed to create a durable, high-performance environment for engineering education.
