The new Missoula Montana Airport terminal transformed the region’s primary air travel hub through a carefully phased expansion that maintained uninterrupted airport operations. Delivered in partnership with the Missoula Airport Authority, the project provides a modern gateway designed to accommodate growing passenger demand while serving western Montana for decades to come.

Constructing an entirely new terminal alongside an active airport required detailed preconstruction planning, coordinated phasing, and constant collaboration between project partners. The existing terminal remained fully operational throughout construction while the new facility was built in two phases. Following completion of the first phase, airport operations transitioned into the new terminal, allowing the original building to be demolished and the final expansion completed. The finished facility includes check-in, security screening, baggage handling, retail and dining spaces, passenger gates, administrative offices, and support areas—all delivered while maintaining the safety, security, and daily operations of an occupied airport.
